Yet another chance for future glad,
after a day been had nothing new having been grabbed
A gloomy evening, bitter and chilled
timing used its will to place a stone on which to build
a golden shine, pure light behold
picked my eyes from the old and drew them from the cold
a shameful day, say nothing of my way
a smile so stray, uncontrollably I sway
my eyes look astonished, my face to the sea
such wonderful beauty deemed me worthy of thee
she
maybe someone to be
block by block I may plant
the seed of a fruitful tree
yet so chanced and enchanted
I missed the dance I was granted
two company be
though I was just me
So surroundings so crowded
I kept myself shrouded
though the moment we locked
eyes saw the time it stopped
a simple sight
of what I should do right
with an deep brooding to know
how I let myself go
How I let myself leave
though complications I weaved, only seemed
to be self inflicting,
how do I know we're not both the victim
a guiltless crime
though two victims will sigh
when they return to the time
they could say 'someone is mine'
Presumptuous maybe
but there was more I could see
in the second of her eyes
I saw my questions arise
in her own and mine
those being 'how, who's and whys'

One,
reason why our bodies weigh a ton,
and then you realise,
you can't expect to see everything with your eyes
so your pride, makes you avoid to choose a side,
so you just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Two,
teams that are fighting for you,
and you don't know,
just how one cares and the other don't.
Your mind, might say you're on no side,
but believe me when I say it's gone and lied.
Three,
might seem like magic but not to me,
No not to me,
my eyes are closed but I can clearly see,
that magic isn't tricks and treats
rather the way your heart beats.
For sure,
it's better to fear one son,
with all power,
than a billion possibilities with none.
We're all about to witness
Just what a God can do,
and not one of these impersonators who,
Are more than they can be,
But if you just sit back eventually you'll see,
Joshua return,
I have a good feeling it's your turn.
reason why our bodies weigh a ton,
and then you realise,
you can't expect to see everything with your eyes
so your pride, makes you avoid to choose a side,
so you just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Heart Strings
I've been waiting far to long,
to have someone there to walk along with me,
through this dark land,
hand in hand.
Someone for me to understand,
someone for me to become sand with.
The road ahead seems to twist and turn,
and the only thought to make my stomach churn is the idea,
of me walking it alone.
I don't want to pull on heart strings,
and make them snap - just like mine did.
Because I know how much it hearts,
and doing it to someone else only makes it worse.
Will someone hear the things I have to say,
The problems we as humans live through day to day,
I know she's out there adding colour to the grey,
I just can't seem to find her in the fray,
I just know that I'll find her somehow,
some way.
I just want to pull her heart strings,
and play a melody, while she sings.
Romance might be dead,
We died with it, in each other's arms,
and I heard every word she said.
to have someone there to walk along with me,
through this dark land,
hand in hand.
Someone for me to understand,
someone for me to become sand with.
The road ahead seems to twist and turn,
and the only thought to make my stomach churn is the idea,
of me walking it alone.
I don't want to pull on heart strings,
and make them snap - just like mine did.

Your Way Home
If I'm a poor man, count me lucky,
For the beat in my heart, oh lord.
With no riches, life is easy,
if you know what life's for.
I've got food on my plate, I just don't know how to eat it no more.
Yes I'm a rich man, with no gold.
My body is young but my soul feels old, oh lord.
If you have riches, life is hard,
with your eyes going blind, and your spirit being scarred.
They'll give thanks, for the wine in their glass,
but they won't know about the flowers, the trees or the grass.
If there's a purpose to our lives I know how to fill it, oh lord.
I've got marrow in my bones, and it shivers to their groans.
I've got food on my plate, I just ain't gonna eat it on my own.
If you're a poor man count your blessings,
you'll find you've got more than any rich man could adore, Oh lord.
From the beat in your heart, to the fire in your soul.
If you don't thank for them now, Oh lord,
He's gonna make sure, you reap what you sow.
We all have life in our bones,
just be sure when you leave them alone,
oh lord, be sure you're on your way home.
You're on your way home.
For the beat in my heart, oh lord.
With no riches, life is easy,
if you know what life's for.
I've got food on my plate, I just don't know how to eat it no more.
Yes I'm a rich man, with no gold.
My body is young but my soul feels old, oh lord.
